The 2020 MotoGP season will finally get underway under the Spanish sun with Jerez playing host to the action. Following the global shutdown of sport the premier class will be seen for the first time this year four months after the opening Moto2 and Moto3 races of the year.
First hosting MotoGP in 1987 it has been ever present on the calendar but this year will host two rounds for the first time. The circuit is a favourite of riders and teams having been used extensively for testing throughout the winter. Jerez is typically a genuine baraometer of what to expect from a season however with the unique circumstances of this year we could see some surprises.
